Intention collection · Better sleep and relaxation
Frequencies for sleep and relaxation. See them and hear them.
The Better sleep and relaxation collection brings together six low frequencies the tradition links to letting go, calm and rest: 111, 174, 285, 396 and 432 Hz. Each one plays with its golden pair, the same tone multiplied by φ in the other ear, to help you wind down before sleep.
Six frequencies, six figures.

Let the day go · 174 Hz · φ174 Hz + 281.5 Hz (× φ) 174 Hz, the lowest of the Solfeggio tones, with its pair at φ and the Seed of Life. To let go of the day before bed.

Rest · 285 Hz · φ285 Hz + 461.1 Hz (× φ) 285 Hz, compassion, with its pair at φ and the Vesica piscis. For days when you've asked too much of yourself.

Night · 432 Hz · φ²432 Hz + 1131.0 Hz (× φ²) 432 Hz, the natural tuning for many traditions, with its pair at φ² and the Galaxy layer. The night one in the collection.

Breathing room · 396 Hz · φ396 Hz + 640.7 Hz (× φ) 396 Hz, the root, with its pair at φ and the Golden spiral. To get back into your body when your mind won't slow down.

Stillness · 174 Hz · φ³174 Hz + 737.1 Hz (× φ³) 174 Hz again, now with its pair at φ³, further out and higher, and the Flower of Life. To stay still for a few minutes, with nothing to do.

Deep sleep · 111 Hz · φ⁴111 Hz + 760.8 Hz (× φ⁴) 111 Hz, the step between almost all the Solfeggio tones, with its pair at φ⁴, the furthest in the collection, and the Torus. For the last minutes before sleep.
Cymatica renders made with the app's own renderer: Mandala mode, Cosmos palette. In the app they move and sound.
A low tone, a high tone and φ between them.
Every preset in the collection joins two tones. The low one is a frequency from the tradition and plays in your left ear; the high one is that same frequency multiplied by φ (1.618…), the golden ratio, one or more times, and plays in your right ear.
In Let the day go · 174 Hz · φ: 174 Hz on the left and 174 × φ = 281.5 Hz on the right.
On top of that, the app adds the golden ladder: the tones 174 × φⁿ above and below, between 30 and 4096 Hz, alternating ears and each step a little quieter, plus two air tones above at −12 dB. That's what the table shows.
Why it sounds like a spiral: φ is irrational, so no tone on the ladder lands on a harmonic of another and the waves never fully line up again. You don't hear a chord that settles, you hear a beat that turns slowly. XY mode shows the same thing: with φ, the Lissajous curve never closes.
| φⁿ | Hz | Ear | Level |
|---|---|---|---|
| φ⁻³ | 41.1 | right | −7 dB |
| φ⁻² | 66.5 | left | −6 dB |
| φ⁻¹ | 107.5 | right | −5 dB |

| φ² | 455.5 | left | −6 dB |
| φ³ | 737.1 | right | −7 dB |

Tab. 01 · Worked out by the app's own engine (cym.presets.js, ladderFreqs). Level in dB relative to the main pair; the player on this page approximates it without the app's room and noise bed.
Let the day go · 174 Hz · φ, the pair and its ladder.
The sine waves of Let the day go · 174 Hz · φ generated in your browser on the spot: 174 Hz on the left, 281.5 Hz on the right and the golden ladder around them. It fades in from silence and rises slowly. With headphones, each ear gets its own tone, as in the app.
Turn your volume down before you start. With headphones, lower still. If it bothers you at any point, stop.
Better sleep and relaxation.
In the Solfeggio tradition, the lowest frequencies are the foundation: 174 Hz, forgiveness and safety; 285 Hz, compassion and care; 396 Hz, the root. They're the ones people pick most at the end of the day.
The collection adds two more. 432 Hz is the tuning many traditions call natural, the A that breathes with the body. 111 Hz is the step that repeats through the Solfeggio series, from 174 to 285, from 285 to 396 and almost all the way up.
None of them is meant to play all night: the practice is a transition, from the day into rest, at low volume.
Why people pick it.
- ·
Before sleep. Some people play Let the day go · 174 Hz · φ for ten minutes in bed, very softly, and turn it off when they feel sleep coming.
- ·
Relaxing. After work, Breathing room · 396 Hz · φ with 4-7-8 breathing to change pace.
- ·
Nap. Rest · 285 Hz · φ for twenty minutes, lying down with your eyes closed.
How to practice with the collection.
4-7-8 breathing (in for 4 s, hold for 7 s, out for 8 s), five to ten minutes, with Let the day go or Night at low volume. Watch the shape at first and close your eyes when your body asks for it.
When you finish, bring the volume down to zero before stopping: the silence is part of the rest too. If sleep is a regular struggle, talk to a professional.
What people ask about this collection.
Q1What is the best frequency for sleep?
There isn't one best frequency for everyone. In the tradition, the ones picked most for the night are the low ones: 174 Hz, 285 Hz and 432 Hz. What helps most is the practice: a while at low volume, at the same time every night, and turning it off before you fall asleep. If sleep is a regular struggle, talk to a professional.
Q2Can I leave them playing all night?
Better not. The practice is meant as a transition of five to twenty minutes. A continuous tone for hours stops keeping you company and turns into background noise. In the app, bring the volume down to zero and stop the tone when you finish.
Q3What is the golden pair?
A second tone: the first one multiplied by φ (1.618…) one or more times. In Let the day go, 174 Hz plays in your left ear and 281.5 Hz in your right. With φ the two waves never fully line up again, and the sound turns slowly instead of standing still.
Q4Headphones or speakers?
For sleep, a speaker next to the bed at low volume is better: sleeping in headphones isn't comfortable. With headphones each ear gets its own tone, as it's meant to be; on speakers the tones blend in the air and still sound good. The lowest ones (111 and 174 Hz) sound weak on a phone speaker; an external one plays them better.
Q5Is it free?
All six are Pro. In the free version you can listen to a 30 second preview of each one (eight previews a day), and on this page the first one is ready to play, also for 30 seconds.
