Solfeggio frequency · Crown
963 Hz. See it and hear it.
963 Hz is the highest of the nine Solfeggio frequencies: the tradition links it to the crown, the seventh center, and to unity and presence. Musically it falls between two notes: it's 44 cents flat of B5 (987.77 Hz), almost a quarter tone.

The shape of 963 Hz.
In Chladni it falls between two of the highest modes in the series, (13, 9) and (15, 5), and Cymatica blends them: a star-shaped center with four-fold symmetry and lots of fine lines. In Mandala, the rings square off into a rounded cross.
It's a Cymatica render, not an illustration: the same figure comes back every time you play 963 Hz.
Crown, in the Solfeggio tradition.
In the Solfeggio tradition, 963 Hz is the crown, the seventh center: unity, presence and connection with something bigger than you. It's the last one on the map.
It isn't one of the six syllables of the hymn Ut queant laxis: Leonard Horowitz added it later, with 174 and 285, to close the series at the top. It's 111 Hz above 852, and 9 + 6 + 3 = 18, and 1 + 8 = 9.
In Cymatica it's level 9, the last level of the Path. Some people sit with it when they want to feel whole for a while, with nothing to solve.

963 Hz, pure tone.
A 963 Hz sine wave generated in your browser on the spot: no recording, no compression, no music on top. It fades in from silence and rises slowly.
Turn your volume down before you start. With headphones, lower still. If it bothers you at any point, stop.
Why people pick it.
- ·
Meditating. To close: ten minutes of coherent 5-5 breathing, the simplest one, with the intention of feeling whole.
- ·
Studying. Some people use it at the end of a workday, as a line between doing and being.
- ·
Resting. When you finish, bring the volume down to zero before stopping the tone: the silence that's left is part of the practice too.
How to practice with 963 Hz.
Suggested practice
Coherent 5-5 breathing, the simplest one, to close. Water mode, Cosmos palette, Tree of Life layer (Pro) or Seed of Life (free). 10 minutes. When you finish, bring the volume to zero before stopping the tone. Intention: be whole.
What people ask about 963 Hz.
Q1What is 963 Hz used for?
In the Solfeggio tradition, 963 Hz is the frequency of the crown: unity and presence. People use it to close a practice, to mark the end of the workday or to stay a while in silence. What you see on this page is physics: the shape that tone draws, the same every time. Cymatica is a listening and attention practice: it isn't a health product and doesn't replace care from a professional.
Q2Pure tone or music?
What plays here is the pure tone: a single 963 Hz sine wave, no harmonics, no beat, no lyrics. It's the simplest thing you can listen to and the exact reference for the frequency. Many "963 Hz" tracks out there are music with that tone mixed underneath, or whole songs retuned: they're easier company for an hour, but they're no longer just 963 Hz. To practice while watching the shape, the pure tone is what draws it.
Q3Headphones or speakers?
Either works. Headphones shut the room out; speakers fill it. What matters is volume: low, below a conversation. Small phone speakers don't reproduce low frequencies well, so the lowest tones in the series (174 and 285 Hz) come through better on headphones. The pure tone isn't binaural: it sounds the same in both ears. The app's Binaural mode does need headphones.
Q4963 Hz or 432 Hz?
They don't compete: they're two different things. 432 Hz is a tuning, where you put the A and, with it, every other note; 963 Hz is one specific tone. With A = 440, 963 Hz sits near B5, 44 cents flat; with A = 432, near {{NOTA_432}}, {{DESVIO_432}}. The app has both tunings: listen to both and keep the one your body asks for.
Q5What shape does 963 Hz draw on the plate?
Not just one: it falls between mode (13, 9) and mode (15, 5), two of the highest in the series, and Cymatica blends them. The higher the frequency, the more nodal lines and the smaller the cells: in Chladni you get a star-shaped center with four-fold symmetry and lots of fine lines; in Mandala, rings that square off into a rounded cross.
